Year 6-9 had a talk on being ‘dementia aware’ this week. They deciphered information that was either true or false, watched video clips about dementia and discussed what barriers people with dementia face. The talk ended with a group discussion about how people with dementia might feel.
Pupils were interested to find out why it was not just the person with dementia affected by the condition. Braeside pupils would like to thank Epping Forest Youth Council for delivering this powerful workshop.
