Yesterday the Junior site held a cake sale in celebration of World Book Day. A huge thanks to the pupils and parents who put in so much time and effort into creating such amazing cakes. We had Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter, Medusa, Horrible Histories and lots more. The table of cakes reached the whole length of the hall!
World Book Day is a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. It is the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.
