Year 6 Assembly on The Suffragettes

Year 6 put on an amazing assembly last week on the Suffragettes.  As this year is a 100-year celebration since women got the right to vote, Year 6 decided it would be a great theme for their assembly.

The class found out about Emiline Pankhurst and Emily Wilding and their role in the movement. They learnt that the only reason that the group held violent protests was because of fifty years of not being listened to! The pupils all worked well together and took on significant speaking roles to ensure that the assembly was a great success.  Well done Year 6 you did a brilliant job.
