Joining us in 2023/2024

Many parents are looking for places either for an immediate start or as soon as possible thereafter. Registrations are being made by parents of children due to join in 2023 and 2024, and early registration is highly advised. To register, complete our Online Registration Form. This requires a non-refundable deposit payment of £50.

Our usual intake points are as follows:

Lower Kindergarten (ages 2½ to 3) and Upper Kindergarten (ages 3½ to 4)

  • Taster sessions are arranged for prospective children whose families have registered them with us.
  • Sessions will lasts around 1½ hours and 2½ hours for Upper Kindergarten, and will mainly consist of informal play-based activities observed by members of the Early Years team.
  • Offers will be sent if children successfully pass our entrance criteria.
  • Acceptances should be returned within 2 weeks of receipt of the offer.

Reception (ages 4½ to 5)

  • Taster sessions are arranged for prospective children whose families have registered them with us.
  • Taster sessions will last around 2¾ hours and will mainly consist of informal activities, with some more focused tasks observed by members of the Early Years team.
  • Offers will be sent if children successfully pass our entrance criteria.
  • Acceptances should be returned within 2 weeks of receipt of the offer.

Years 1 to 6 (ages 5½ to 10½)

  • Children will be invited to spend a day in school at a mutually convenient time.
  • The day will include formal academic assessments in English and Maths, with additional informal classroom observations.
  • Offers will be sent if children successfully pass our entrance criteria.
  • Acceptances should be returned within 2 weeks of receipt of the offer.

Years 7 to 9 (ages 11 to 14)

  • Children will be invited to spend a long morning in school either during the official Entrance Examination day or another time.
  • The day will include formal entrance examinations with papers in English and Maths with additional informal classroom observations and formal interviews.
  • Offers will be sent if children successfully pass our entrance criteria.
  • Acceptances should be returned within 2 weeks of receipt of the offer.

Please note that we do not normally take pupils into Years 10 or 11.
