At five years of age our pupils move seamlessly into the Infants department where Key Stage 1 of the National Curriculum is followed. As an Independent school we can enrich the curriculum and move at a swift pace as the girls from our Early Years department come to this stage with competent reading skills. Strong phonic development through reading aloud on a daily basis, which was begun in Kindergarten, is built upon as are numeracy and handwriting skills. These key building blocks underpin all education and once secure open up many learning opportunities for a child.

As girls move through the Infant department they take on a growing sense of maturity and a greater awareness of the effort involved in order to suceed.
