Year 10 Visit St John’s Church

Year 10 GCSE Religious Studies pupils visited St John’s Church, Buckhurst Hill this week as part of their GCSE course. Year 10 are exploring ethical issues that relate to life and death matters. They visited the church for a workshop led by the Education Officer (Sam Lockstone) that focused on how Christians make decisions about topics such as abortion.

Pupils explored the many factors that shape our decision making and then referred to the guidance in the Bible. It was great to have a lesson in a different environment and have a religious believer share their ideas on ethical decision making.
