Year 7 Create Christmas Decorations
Before the end of term our Year 7 class worked hard in art to create fabulous Christmas decorations. They embroidered felt to create brightly coloured Christmas trees, stockings and gingerbread men. Pupils were excited to take them home and add them to their families Christmas trees this festive season!
No One Wraps Like an Elf – Christmas Show 2024
St James’ Church lit up with our magical Christmas performance of ‘No One Wraps Like an Elf!’. Year 10 Produce Static Electricity
Year 10 learnt that It is possible to remove electrons from an atom to produce static electricity. They then investigated the effects of static electricity with balloons and strips of acetate and Perspex.
Year 11 Science
Year 11 prepared for their important ripple tank required practical by calculating the speed of waves using trays, water and timers.
Year 1 & 2 Santas
Year 1 and 2 had a fabulous time in the elf’s art studio making these bold and characterful santas! They were really lucky to have our assistant head girl Dilly in year 11 to assist which the youngers pupils really enjoyed. Great work everyone.
Tag Rugby
Year 6 and 4 Year 4 pupils proudly participated in the West Essex Tag Rugby Tournament on Friday, showcasing great teamwork, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm. Although very muddy and cold, pupils gained valuable experience and had an enjoyable day representing our school. Well done girls!

Year 1 & 2 Christmas Cards
Year 1 and 2 have had a lot of fun making Christmas cards this year. We have used a mixture of materials and techniques including collage, sewing and painting! We finished off by illustrating inside our cards with imaginative drawings whilst watching Raymond Briggs ‘The Snowman’. Great work everyone.
Braeside Netball Vs. Roding Valley
Braeside’s year 7 & 8 netball team beat Roding Valley 11-8! They played brilliantly as a team! Gemma was player of the match.
