The Junior School pupils have been celebrating Humanities by taking part in a Geography themed Humanities Day. Pupils have been finding out all about Japan! Year 1 – Year 6 listened to some Japanese stories, as well as finding out about the culture and geographical features of the country.
In the afternoon, they then took part in a selection of activities, from trying out origami, to Japanese mindfulness and drawing Manga characters! We even tried to write some words using the tricky Japanese writing system. Meanwhile, in Reception, the pupils created some beautiful finger paintings of cherry blossom trees.
