The Braeside School House Debating Competition 2015 has been a series of particularly exciting events.
Inter-house heats have been conducted over the past two weeks, culminating in a Final to remember, which took place on the 1 October 2015.
House members, across all year groups, worked well together conducting research around a variety of given topical issues. Clearly, a wide range of research was undertaken by all concerned, enabling each House to be very well prepared for the debates. The team members, those chosen to represent their House in the debates, did exceptionally well.
The competition this year was great and many of our students displayed debating skills and a confidence in public speaking that should serve them well for the future, in an ever increasingly competitive world.
Condolences go to Mason House – they were strong competition in the Final debate and it was a close thing.
However, many congratulations to Nightingale House, for this year they are worthy winners!
