Ancient Egyptians at Open Morning!

Visitors who came to the Open Morning saw our Year 4 class engaged in their favourite topic: The Ancient Egyptians. The Ancient Egyptians loved to wear a variety of necklaces and collars made from a huge range of materials. Of course, only the wealthy could afford gold, silver or precious stones. Shells, wood and bone were more readily available to those on a budget. Collars made from precious metals were often given as gifts by the pharaoh to loyal supporters and so were a source of great pride. Children enjoyed making their collars and enthusiastically shared what they had been learning with the visitors.
