Reception’s North Pole Adventure

This half term the Reception class are Polar Explorers. They have been on a ‘magic carpet’ ride to the North Pole for a chilly adventure. When they arrived they found an igloo which helped them find out how Inuit people live and learned about the animals that would be found in the Arctic. Their favourite animals were the Polar Bear and Arctic Fox.

Pupils even had a go at creating their own igloo models using papier mache and made observations of ice melting, watching what happened to the ice when it was left outside. Once the class leave the Arctic they are planning on venturing to Antarctica to see the Penguins!
