Braeside girls braved the bitterly cold weather to run in the annual ISA North London cross country championships held at Rushmoor School in Bedford on Thursday 9 February. For some of the girls this was their first experience of cross country and travelling a long distance to compete in a sporting event.
It was a tough competition with a muddy, complicated course which the girls dealt with well. Undeterred by the cold weather all of the girls worked hard and dug deep to complete the race with some outstanding running from Maddie (Year 5) and Mackensie (Year 8). Huge congratulations should go to Jess (Year 8) though, who achieved our best result by coming 9th in the U13 category, thus qualifying to represent London North at the National competition.
