Year 10 are leaning about removing waste products in Biology this week. As part of their studies into why the kidneys are important and how they work, they have carried out some practical investigations in the laboratory. They carried out diagnostic tests on various ‘urine’ samples kindly donated by their teachers! (After the lesson they were informed that the urine sample were in fact fake).
Year 10 became a dedicated team of scientists discovering that one of the samples came from a diabetic, one came from a dehydrated patient and one from a patient with kidney failure. Very impressive skills of observation and deduction Year 10!
