Year 5 have been enjoying some very interactive Science lessons recently. They especially enjoyed dissecting sunflowers which enabled them to study the individual parts that make up the plant.
The children were equipped with a magnifying glass so they could get a closer look at petals, seeds and leaves, and were able to identify some of the lesser known parts of the flower anatomy. In this way the class were able get a better understanding of how each part contributes to the flower’s life and reproduction. It was a fantastic lesson which everyone enjoyed very much.
