An Exciting Science Practical with Year 7

Year 7 have been finding out why you have a skeleton and how it works together with your muscles to enable you to move. As part of this topic they have been dissecting chicken wings, peeling back the skin to observe the muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments and joints. They observed the structure of a joint and pulled on muscles to move the bones.

It was an excellent way for the pupils to gain a better understanding of how all of the different parts of the human body work together as one.
