Year 7 have been exploring colour theory using autumn leaves. Initially pupils have explored shape and out-line. After mastering the basic shape of the leaf, they then we went on to use oil pastels and water-colours, two very different materials to work with.
The results were fantastic with some pupils preferring the bold and vibrant qualities achieved with oil pastels and some enjoying the looser, watery effects that water-colours enable them to create.
