In Chemistry this term Year 9 have been looking at states of matter. As part of their studies on the particle model they looked at the process of freezing steric acid in detail. They drew graphs to show how energy is transferred to the surroundings and how this changes as a result of changing states from liquid to solid.
The pupils were able to annotate their graphs and evaluate the particle model of matter as a result. It was a well focused class with pupils demonstrating keen observation skills and excellent attitude to learning.
