Last week Lower Kindergarten were focusing on settling in and being happy at school. So far all of LK are beginning to settle in very well!
Their topic is mini beasts and last week the children loved looking into slimy snails!
They listened to the story of ‘Snail Brings The Mail’, painted 3D snail models from circle shapes and spiral patterns, painted snail trails with glitter paint, enjoyed making snail cakes with a spiral shape shell, put marks on a rectangle shape letters and much more.
To make the week even busier the children have also been learning about Chinese New Year. Some favourite activities were getting to eat Chinese noodles, colour dragons and learn about the Year of the Dog.
When everyone returns to school after half term the topic will be Weather and Seasons.
