Reception Class came to school today and found Shimmer the Mermaid resting in their water tray. She had written a letter to them asking them to help her to get back to her Mermaid friends who live in the sea. The pupils gave their ideas of how they could help her and wrote back to her. Some of the ideas included tricking the pirates (who are due to arrive on Friday) and using their ship to return Shimmer home. Everyone agreed that she would like fish and chips for her lunch if she is still in class on Friday lunchtime!
