Year 6, 7 and 8 recently went on a team building trip to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The classes travelled on the tube and met the tour guides for the day at the park entrance. The guides took the group on a really interesting tour of the meadows, Olympic areas, stadium and the velodrome. Pupils were impressed with the speed of the cyclists that they saw practicing for an event.
After the tour and a picnic lunch, pupils took the lift up to the 80th floor or the Arcelmittor Tower, before walking down over 100 steps on the way down. Year 7 managed to collect leaf samples from the North American trees in the park and Year 6 took some photos of the London skyline – these are all for an art project. Every one had a great day and a big thanks goes to our informative tour guides.
