Year 10 are well into their GCSE Chemistry studies and have just completed their required practical 2: Using titration to investigate reacting volumes.
The pupils helped each other to carefully measure volumes accurately using a burette and observe a neutralisation reaction in the flask below. They practiced their technique until they had concordant results and are beginning the tricky calculations that will enable them to determine the concentration of an unknown alkali. These are higher tier calculations and the class have already shown patience and resilience with tackling this topic.
