Year 8, 9 and Year 10 French pupils recently participated in a day workshop at the British Film Institute on French cinema. They were encouraged to describe movies and discuss their features in French and our pupils did us proud by participating. The morning was spent on workshops based on short movies. In the afternoon, they watched ‘Le Petit Nicolas’ a movie inspired by the very-much loved novel by authors and illustrators, Sempé and Gosciny, the first French piece of literature written from a child’s point of view.
