Habitat Discovery Day at Waltham Abbey Gardens

On Wednesday 9 October Year 1 and 2 paid a visit Waltham Abbey Gardens to participate in a Habitat Discovery Day. On the trip they collected mini beasts and used classification charts while exploring a variety of micro habitats. They even had a go at pond dipping! Pupils explored the weird and wonderful world of minibeasts through collecting, identifying and classifying the invertebrates. It was a great day and the children all really enjoyed taking part in the activities and learning outside the classroom environment.
