As part of our House Challenge, Reception to Year 5 learnt about plastic pollution and watched the clip from the Blue Planet that changed the world’s opinion about plastic overnight.
They first had an inter-house competition led by the Green Team to see who could collect the most single-use bottle tops. Once enough bottles had been collected, in our House Challenge activities we made an ocean themed display using them in attempt to raise awareness of the ‘Reduce, Reuse and Recycle’ message. There were many cross curricular links such as Art, English, Geography and PSHE, plus the finished work looked fantastic.
