Dialogical Marking and Feedback in Languages

To ensure pupils are still able to write and receive appropriate feedback in languages, Ms Hucbourg is asking pupils to post their writings on an application called Padlet. The application is completely secure as only those with the link can access it and the content is moderated. Thanks to the app’s functionalities, pupils can post their answers and Ms Hucbourg is able to mark them and engage in a dialogue on feedback almost in real time. As pupils’ writing progress through the feedback process, they are colour coded to give clear indications to both teachers and pupils on the next action to be taken. Year 10 pupils have been able to produce excellent quality writing in both French and Spanish in preparation for their GCSEs.
