Year 11 Chemists made excellent use of the new iPads today, researching an analytical technique called Flame Emission Spectroscopy. The challenge was to compare this to a technique that A Level students learn about, called Gas Chromatography, and their applications in either medicine or environmental science. This was a great exercise not just to underpin their knowledge for GCSE but also to foster independent learning skills as they look ahead to sixth form.
Well done, Year 11!
