On Friday 13 November, Braeside School Council organised a non-school uniform day and ‘Welly Walk’ (Juniors) to raise money for the charity Children In Need. Pupils learned about the charity and the wonderful work they do for vulnerable children in the UK. Pupils were allowed to wear their own clothes and any merchandise from the charity. Many pupils opted to wear ears and official yellow t-shirts. Freya, one of our Year 7 pupils, even made her own ‘Pudsey’ hat!
The junior pupils relished a squelchy walk in the forest. Evelyn in Reception said ‘We had such a fun time in the muddy puddles’. Summer Rose in Year 2 said ‘I loved wearing my wellies to school. I pretended that I was Red Riding Hood in the forest’. It was a lovely crisp, autumn day for a walk for a good cause. Thank you pupils and parents for supporting this charitable event!
