Year 5 are exploring The Antarctica and the wildlife that lives there including penguins. In Art class they started to draw the penguin so that they could consider their shape and then started to make them out of re-cycled bottles. It was the class aim to keep the project eco-friendly so they re-used plastics from home. Re-purposing is a great way of helping the planet and you can get some amazing art-works as a result. The pupils used papier-mache and paper construction techniques to help our penguins come to life before painting them to give them character. The finished Penguins look amazing!
