Year 1 attended the West Essex school sport partnership KS1 indoor athletics festival on Friday. The girls took part in many track and field events.
The track events included the hurdles, sprint races, under over races and an obstacle course. The field events were long jump, speed bounce, target throwing, javelin, balance beam and chest push.
All the girls had fun completing the activities and it was brilliant to see them trying new skills. Ruby was excellent at the speed bounce, Isla and Leela’s confidence grew in the field events, Karmen was impressive on the balance beam, Liya worked hard to improve her javelin, Eva excelled at the target throw, Amelia and Evelyn were speedy over the hurdles and Amber worked hard at the long jump! A brilliant morning of athletics, enjoyed by all!
