On Wednesday 16th March, Year 4 went on their trip to Kew Gardens. The pupils took part in a workshop to find out what it takes to become a Plant Hunter. They had a go at creating detailed drawings of their own discoveries in the Palm House, as well as learning about the important information labels and some of the more unusual plants in the building. The pupils also had a go at using branching databases to classify leaves. Though the weather was a little damp, we all had lots of fun and also got to explore the Children’s garden in the afternoon.
