Year 6 Heart Dissection

Year 6 are learning about the circulatory system in their Science lessons. They learned about the structure of the heart and how the blood flows through it. They also dissected a lamb’s heart for a better understanding of the basic structures they were discussing.

All of the pupils found the study extremely interesting and were surprised by how complex the heart system was. Getting to see the heart in real life let the pupils get a much better understanding of how it works.
