This week in reception, the children have been learning all about the great British classic, tea!
The children started the week by reading the story “The Tiger Who Came to Tea,” hearing all about the tea party that the tiger enjoyed with Sophie.
In their Understanding the World lesson, they learned about where tea comes from and the process by which it gets to our supermarkets. The children found it fascinating to hear how tea is actually made from leaves that grow on special bushes and followed the journey the leaves take to get to our homes.
After all of their hard work, it was time for tea. They enjoyed learning the process of making a cup of tea, like pouring in the water and adding the milk.
