On 23 February Year 1 went on a trip to Epping Forest District Museum as part of their topic ‘The Great Fire of London.’
They investigated the story of the Great Fire of London and how historians use evidence to try and understand what really happened. The children examined copies of original maps showing what London looked like before and after the fire to see what effect it had on the city. At the end, they investigated the building itself to find out how houses were built at the time.
Everyone had a wonderful day doing brilliant activities and learnt a great deal!
