Gracie in Year 6 has recently joined She Can Play Football Academy. 25 SCP players signed contracts with professional Football Clubs and Associations recognised under The FA’s Female Talent Pathway. If players work hard, the programme at She Can Play provides a clear pathway to becoming a future Lioness!
When did you join Braeside School?
I joined Braeside School in Lower Kindergarten.
How long have you been playing football?
Since I was in Reception. I joined West Essex in November 2022.
What did you need to do to get into She Can Play Academy?
I needed to do a trial. For the trial, I had to take part in a match and score a goal from a certain point on the pitch.
How often do you train/play in matches with the Academy?
I train every Monday with them and I had my first match a few days ago against Norwich City Girls. We won this match and I scored in the second half and assisted with two goals.
Who is your football idol and why?
My idol is Alessia Russo because she plays striker like me. She also plays in the Woman’s Super League and England. She won Player of the Year and Top Scorer.
