Reception children have absolutely loved their class text ‘Superworm’ by Julia Donaldson. From this text, they created their very own wormery and gathered worms to put inside and observe.
They also went on a minibeast hunt to view and classify minibeasts within their natural habitat. The children learnt lots of interesting facts about worms and created some fabulous independent writing in the form of posters about the subject.
They concluded the lesson by creating their own worm out of tights and newspaper adding embellishments for personality.
