Pupils in Year 9 completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh assessed expedition weekend and I am pleased to say that they all passed! The students set off from Lambourne End on Saturday morning with their supplies and equipment needed for the duration of the weekend in their backpacks. They cooked their dinner on Trangia’s and pitched their tents and then it rained ALL night!
They woke up, had breakfast, sorted their stuff out and set off for the second day of the expedition. All of the pupils showed excellent determination and resilience. The Assessor said ‘What a great group of kids. They did so well to stay so positive in such awful weather! They should be very proud of themselves!’
