On Thursday 2 May, Year 7 visited the Bank of England Museum. We explored through the museum and saw all of the artefacts including 400,000 gold bars underneath the grounds of the bank.
The banks history stretches far back as 1694, making it over three-hundred years old. We also had the opportunity to walk on the Millennium Bridge to South Bank and went past the Shakespeare Globe Theatre.
From the bridge we did some sightseeing of London. In the distance were The Shard, Tower Bridge, St Paul’s Cathedral and more. Overall, it was a good experience exploring a part of London and a beautiful City that is filled with history, with old architecture and hidden secrets. By Kirika, Year 7
