Year 6 visited All Saint’s Church in Woodford to explore the work of the wider Church across the world and the local community.
Ella, who is a Youth Pastor, showed Year 6 around and explained the journey of a Christian through the church from Baptism to the end of life. We discussed the use of symbols and drawings around the building to support different understandings of Jesus’ teachings.
Year 6 asked some thoughtful questions about conversion, marriage and relationships and about how to interpret stories in the Bible. Afterwards, we enjoyed a hot chocolate in the community café and Lara and Summer-Rose donated some biscuits for the church community groups as a thank you.
