Year 9 have been learning about religious persecution and genocide and we are currently focusing on The Holocaust. Pupils recently visited the Jewish Museum and had lots of questions about Jewish traditions and how these were affected in the war.
On Monday the class had a student led lesson by Bethany in Year 9 who is Jewish. Her family kindly allowed her to bring in some of their items from home. She explained how they are used, the beliefs that these precious objects represent and how they related to stories in the Torah. She then took questions at the end.
