We had a wonderful day at Braeside celebrating World Book Day and our love of reading. Students and children alike joined in with the fun and dressed as their favourite book character or dressed in their Pyjamas ready for a bedtime story.
Pupils started the day with a special World Book Day assembly and then a World Book Day parade allowing the children to show off their costumes to their friends and teachers.
The children wrapped up books to swap with friends and joined in with a number of book related competitions such as a wooden spoon book character for EYFS and KS1 and recreating a book cover for Year 3-6. Throughout the day pupils enjoyed a multitude of book related activities.
